Through actively participating independent and cooperative research projects with government agencies and private corporations, the DESE Faculty has strengthened both research and teaching quality in the past 10 years. Since moving to the new building in 2002, the department has experienced a rapid expansion in research and teaching equipment, instruments, as well as new faculty members.
In the near future, the Department will continue to expand its faculty, and remain active in cooperative projects with govern¬ment agencies, local and foreign public and private enterprises, as well as other research institutions. Meanwhile, the DESE faculty and staff will strive to provide the undergraduate and graduate students with top-shelf educational experience.
